Yu Tsumura is one of the best yoyoers who has ever lived. His ability to play all 5 styles at a competitive level is one of the reasons why he is such a respected member of the American yoyo scene. Originally from Japan, Yu is currently a student here in the United States. Since he has moved here he has dominated the Midwest and Mideast yoyo scene. He has taken the title of Indiana State Champion, Mideast Regional Champion, Illinois State champion, and many more within his few years here. He is a world class competitor in 3a and has created some of the most impressive looking tricks we have ever seen. His understanding of all 5 styles is what gives him the edge in the competitive scene, he understands all of the movement at a different level than the rest of us. Yoyoing aside, Yu is an extremely intelligent person. He currently works at Purdue University in Indiana where he is a high level Math TA. His intelligence and diligence is part of the reason why we took notice to him. He is someone who is always fun to be around, and being fortunate enough to have him around all the time makes us, Werrd, an extremely happy group of people. His inability to be rude towards anyone is admirable, and all of us look up to him for that. We’re glad to have him on our team, and we hope to see him succeed in everything he does.
